Associate Business Systems Analyst: $89,230.00 Annually
Hours of Work: 4/10s, M-Th: 7am-6pm
FILLING DEADLINE: This position will remain open until filled.
The ideal candidate would have a high degree of understanding in managing the technicalities of an information system of record; possess understanding and familiarity of the tools needed for analyzing, migrating, and organizing data according to Information Governance best practices; experience in project management, designing workflows, curricula development, system design, and implementation in an information system utilizing the M365environment; experience in developing and implementing a Knowledge Management program to support and further the goals of a applying and maintaining and automated and manual records management process; ability to communicate clearly and precisely in both written and spoken English; have good listening skills to understand organizational challenges and propose appropriate solutions; have the necessary skills to work independently or with a team; ability to frequently work under tight deadlines and needs to utilize time efficiently to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner; and ability to contribute to change management initiatives and needs to have experience in influencing organizational culture through communications, training, and other methods.
INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates possessing the strongest skills and experience for this position will be forwarded to the hiring department for further evaluation and to determine who will be invited to the formal interview process. The candidate hired will be required to pass a drug screening, background check and may be required to pass a job-related physical evaluation.
Requirements
Knowledge of:
Principles, concepts and practices of business process and systems analysis including business process and data modeling; principles of software lifecycle management; systems design theory, concepts and principles including data management and administration and development concepts; current business management theory and concepts and techniques for process improvement; standard project management tools and techniques; Agile development methodologies; District and/or departmental business processes commonly supported by applications; standard business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics and database programs; laws, codes and regulations pertaining to the use of computer hardware and software; principles and practices of sound business communication; basic principles and practices of effective team leadership.
Ability to:
Develop conceptual frameworks and apply sound technology, business management and process improvement techniques to development of requirements for integrated, business based technology solutions to operational and service delivery problems and issues; facilitate user and cross-functional team meetings, negotiate understanding and build consensus agreements; assist in performing basic project management and program coordination responsibilities; work collaboratively with department and Information Technology team members to ensure project accountability and success; set priorities and balance responsibilities for multiple projects and initiatives to ensure timely, high quality results; read, understand, interpret, explain and apply complex business and technical information, evaluate issues and alternatives and reach sound independent conclusions within established policy guidelines; communicate clearly and effectively to diverse audiences of technical and non-technical personnel, orally and in writing; prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports, documentation and other written materials; use tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive, complex and/or confidential issues and situations; establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all levels of department and IT staff, consultants, vendors, contractors and others encountered in the course of work.
Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, management information systems or a closely related field; and three years of progressively responsible professional business systems analysis experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a government or public utility setting is highly desirable.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid Nevada driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy may be required for certain assignments.
