PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering technology projects across Central One, with a primary focus on infrastructure, cloud, and security initiatives. This role oversees project planning, execution, and budget management while working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership. The IT Project Manager drives the successful delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and best practices in IT governance and portfolio management.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Management
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, network enhancements, and security initiatives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with cross-functional project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Track project performance and provide transparent reporting on deliverables, budget status, risks, and timelines.
2. Portfolio & Budget Management
- Manage the IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic impact, value, and resource capacity.
- Develop and oversee project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure alignment of project outcomes with business objectives and financial constraints.
- Support leadership with portfolio reviews and funding recommendations.
3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee vendor and partner engagements to align deliverables with project expectations.
- Manage statements of work (SOWs), procurements, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with technical leads, subject matter experts, and business owners to define and deliver project scope.
4. Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- Apply best practices from PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid delivery methods.
- Document and standardize processes, lessons learned, and project artifacts.
- Contribute to the enhancement of IT governance, change management, and project methodologies.
5. Serves as community role model and participates in volunteer activities to support the People Helping People value and enhance the Credit Union's visibility.
6. Stay current on job-related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means.
7. Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
8. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Pay Range: $97,000 - $124,000 per year commensurate with experience
Hybrid Work Arrangement: This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of in office and remote days following an initial training period in office.
Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification.
Experience: 5+ years of project management experience in IT, with at least 2 years of demonstrable infrastructure or enterprise technology project delivery.
Skills: Ability to manage project budgets and work within formal IT portfolio governance frameworks. Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Monday.com). Working knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure or AWS), including migration and hybrid scenarios. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, access control, identity management, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Understanding of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching). Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
